Lauren walked over to the window and reflected on her quiet surroundings. She had always loved Dallas with its beautiful, blossomed parks. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel calm. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a skinny, short teenager with blonde hair and light blue eyes. Lauren was always kind to others...well, most people.
Out of nowhere she saw something in the distance, or rather someone, heading towards her house. It was the figure of Sophia Barlow. Sophia was a violent girl with an uncontrollable temper. Everyone was afraid of her and no one dared to step out of line with her. Even though Sophia was heading closer to Lauren's house, Lauren stayed calm.
Lauren's eyes scanned around her room. Her eyes fixated on the gun that her father owned before he died. "Only use the gun if you feel your anger has taken over". Lauren remembered her dads last words. She hesitated. However, the gun in her hands made her feel angriness that she had never felt before.
As Lauren stepped outside and Sophia came closer, she could see the outrageous smile on Sophia's face.
"I am here because I want revenge," Sophia bellowed, with an evil tone. She slammed her fist against Lauren's chest, with the force of lightning. "I hate you, Lauren Platt!" Lauren looked back, even more calm and still holding the gun, with a tight grip. "Sophia, hands up or I'll shoot," she raised the gun, aiming it at Sophia's doughnut-shaped head.
They looked at each other with angry feelings, like two vicious, deadly snakes fighting for the remaining scraps of food. The tension in the air made it hard for them to breathe.
Suddenly, Sophia lunged forward and tried to punch Lauren in the face. Quickly, Lauren grabbed the heavy gun and brought it down on Sophia's skull. Sophia froze. She didn't move.
Sophia went white. It was as if the whole world had stopped. The birds stopped chirping. The children stopped playing. The rain stopped. Everything stopped.
Sophia collapsed onto the ground. Blood began to surround her head.
Sophia Barlow was dead.
