Mom...
You never say 'I love your' unless you've been yelling at me endlessly...when you finally realize I'm broken. Maybe a part of you finally realizes you're a bad mom, or you don't want me to hate you.
Now that I'm an 'adult' and I'm fleeing from the house to escape the toxicity that clings to me and floats in the air, I've noticed something....you love my sister.
When I'm home you're hugging her, you kiss her, you say 'I love you'. She takes after your good side...I obviously don't.
Just once....I want to hear you say that you love me when I'm not crying...when I'm not thinking about how much I hate you, or how I should've picked Dad all those years ago.
I just want to know you really do love me...that I wasn't just some mistake that serves as a constant reminder of someone you hate. I want you to always be proud...I don't want to work so hard for nothing. I just....need my mother's love.
