I had enough confidence to not care what others think of me. Or the constant disappointments that happen to me in my life. Or not to be ashamed when I embarrass myself. I look at happy, outgoing, confident people like such friends I have and think wow, I really would do anything to be like them.

I'm incredibly insecure and unconfident. I need a friend.
Y'know I thought I was getting better. I thought that maybe, just maybe, I was gaining a bit of confidence for the first time since I was little. I thought I ha...

I don't believe her when she tells me I'm beautiful
I've spent my entire life telling myself I'm ugly and worth nothing. I've spent all of my time knowing no one will ever love me. I've had two people who I loved...
Confidence is easy...ish, at least as long as you weren't bullied for five years straight it should be. So anywho lol you literally jus gotta "fake it til you make it". It's just like all other emotions (fun fact: did u know that forcing a smile can actually change your vibes into a more happy or postive attitude?); force the confidence and you'll really start to FEEL it too! :D
Other advice that I love to give is that we should always put ourselves in other peoples shoes. You'd be surprised how many are actually self conscious too, we jus don't always know it because we don't always SHOW it xD like people say I LOOK confident but I am so not //: i mean i didn't USED to be, but I've been working on that and I've gotten a little better myself (; So just think, we don't always know the people's stories.. Two other things I'll finish with are
1) that my brother one time said that he was embarrassed to get off the car and go buy something himself cuz his hair was ugly an so i was like "dude, look at those people in there! you really think they care how YOU look? it's the ghetto" Lol
so we don't always care. I mean.. not to sound so rude or TOO blunt but, ya haha. More examples - sometimes my mom's like "look at my shoes, they're so ugly." an i tell her "no one looks at people's feet" but then she argues that they do and so I've finally learned to compromise that some people do some people don't. This one's for the win; my friend is SUPER embarrassed like all the time so she said she hates doing presentation because she feels like everyone is looking at her so I replied with "well first of all duh, people ARE looking at you lol but only literally, cuz [again] putting yourself in their shoes, you know that they're probly tired, bored, or don't care, so they're not actually paying attention"
and 2) i might just be going in circles now, but basically we've ALL had a lot of embarrassing moments. And because we're only human, they're just bound to happen at some point. It's cool, you're not alone. Just try not to overthink it, cuz as human beings we're also just naturally going to judge, or be nosy, or wanna talk gossip on some story (men too) but the stories fade. I slipped in mud in middle school and nobody called me the mud girl or anything, cuz that's not what they'll remember us by. Not little stuff like that. I mean sure we may think about it every now and then, but those "embarrassments" dont DEFINE us. P.s. ironically i wasn't embarrassed that time, for once. And that one was a pretty big f*cking deal xD Good luck, I hope something in this stuff (that I go crazy off topic over) helps! ^-^

ReplyOh P.p.s. there's pros and cons to everything. So never be too confident or else you'll look cocky..
Ya I kinda hate ALL confident people for this reason, even tho they're not always like this (again it's a part of that judgement by human nature thing, but I'm workin on it)
