It's not the amount of food you eat, it's the calorie intake. You can snack on only chocolate and chips and still lose weight. Check out myfitnesspal.com, it's a good way to keep track of what you eat, and at a healthy amount. I'm sure you know how harmful fad-based diets are. Just love yourself (at a healthy weight), and ignore what others say

If you don't mind me asking, who's them? It's not okay to comment on someone's eating habit in this way. If you think you should go on a diet (and not because "you're fat" but because you think it would benefit your health), then you need to surround yourself with more supportive people. Please don't let anyone pressure you into doing anything and don't let what they're saying affect you in any way.

Eating a moderate amount of food is fine as long as it's balanced. Just eating less without following a diet is actually worse for your body than eating too much, since you could become more malnourished.
As horrible as they are, greens are your friend lol. And too much carbohydrates and sugar are your enemy.
You'll need to exercise too. Jogging is good, but full body workout exercises (E.G: Insanity workout) are best. Good luck to you.
