So I met a guy... okay not really "met him" met him, but like talked to him online and facetimed so I have a pretty good idea of who I'm talking to. We've been talking for a couple of weeks. It's super fun and comforting and just flows really easily. He's not from around here and he has an accent which makes it adorable to hear him talk. I've told a couple of people that we're talking and they're usually okay with it, but they have a lot of concerns about the cultural differences. They think so far ahead in the relationship about things that could possibly happen, and because it's such a new thing (I've never been in a relationship before) It's really hard for me to think about all the possible upcoming things. It almost feels like they're trying to talk me out of it before it has even begun, and I get that new and different things can be scary, but it's not for me and I'm really excited about this and I wish they would understand that a bit more.

A lot of people don't like the idea of online dating cause it can be real sketchy. People sometimes aren't genuine. It's really hard to make a judgement on this. All I can say is follow your heart, but also think with your head. If he starts doin questionable things, red flag abort! I'm sure it will be fine though. Just be careful! Hope everything works out.
