sometimes in life, you have a goal.
and everything in your entire world falls away.
that goal is all that matters to you anymore.
and you do anything to reach it.
throw yourself under the bus, overexert yourself, give in to manipulation or even hurt others and yourself in pursuit of your goal.
its common for someone to say "ill do anything for it."
and then, its only about the goal.
how you get there, and the work to do to get there, is "temporary."
its just a means to an end, it doesnt matter.
its only there to do until your goal is achieved.
i dont think i should think about it like that anymore.
my goal will only exist until i die or it is achieved.
but the goal is what doesnt matter.
whether i reach it or not, it doesnt matter
i truly, truly love my goal, and i would do anything to achieve it.
but ill get there.
on my own terms.
at my own pace.
i have my own truth and my own motivation.
i am my own person.
and i can, should, and will walk my own path.
and what i do is not worthless
and ill love and respect and pat myself on the back for the hard work that I know I do every day, whether the people around me see the results of it or not.
and then, i might finally be able to believe in myself.
this may sound like a long-winded way to say the journey is more important than the destination, but it's something more for me.
thanks for reading.
