I am constantly sad. For the past three years most of it i've just been super down. I am known as a pretty positive person and i do try my best to be happy but...
Yes I do. My parents are the traditional 'work hard, be a doctor' people. If I got 98% in school, they say 'where did the other 2% go?' My siblings are all boys and all older. If i don't do what they want, I get told off because 'boys are more important'. They will 'handle family businesses'. As long as I act as the stereotypical Indian girl, they all love me otherwise they all run at me. I'm kind of used to it now. I'm like a robot.
ReplyNo. I am who I want to be. My parents raised me to be independent but I do everything I can to make them proud because they have sacrificed a lot for me. And no, I do not care about pleasing relatives or society. I don't believe in being the stereotypical Indian girl to please other people. I am living my life for me and as long as I'm happy that's all that matters.
Replyhhhhmmm... sorry to interrupt ladies.. i may not be indian not even a girl either.. but here in our country... those children who knows how to respect their parents may it be a boy or a girl, will always follow what the parents would say, teach, ask, and tell them to do.. becoz it is for the own good of the child except if its the other way around. now for the husband to his wife.. she always be beautiful in any way and she will always be guarded anytime.. that if the husband truly loves his wife.. im not saying that you should practice our tradition.. you have your own in your country.. its for you to understand those things.. what it meant and why you have to follow such traditions.. do not mind what others tell you if it doesnt hurt you physically.. each and every woman are more stronger that men spiritually.. on my opinion..
