So, I’m going to try and lose weight. I really have a hard time committing to it because my family doesn’t really eat healthy. I probably weigh about 220 lbs and I’m barely a teenager. I feel very insecure about my body and would love some advice. Btw I’m 5,5 for my height.

Looks won't make you happy
Hello. I've written a few times on this site and it's really been helpful to see that others are going through the same things that I am. I have recently been...
My nephew has lost a lot of weight on Keto. He's always on it. I watched Mikhaila Peterson (Jordan Peterson's daughter) on Joe Rogan and she eats only beef and salt Lol. But that's really extreme. My nephew eats a lot of fat and no carbs. The first weeks are the hardest, but I think you would lose a lot in that time.
ReplyYou should try watching emi Wong on YouTube. She has great eating advice and lots of exercises.
ReplyI came from a similar place. I started high school (14) and I was 200 lbs, and probably like 5'6". Anywho, I didn't really start to want to lose weight until late grade 11. I did some unhealthy things, but over the years I figured out a solid plan: 1. Appreciate Fruits and veg. I love them so much more now. Yeah they don't taste the best, but they are real good for you. 2. Cut out sugar drinks. Don't drink soda. They have TONS of sugar. 3. Cut out as much junk food as possible. Avoid eating treats, fast food, etc. 4. Cut down you portion size. Yeah it will suck for a bit, but decreasing your portion size helps a ton. Use smaller plates for food. 5. Get lots of sleep. Don't overdo it, but get the recommended amount that you need. 6. Exercise! Since you aren't old enough yet, I wouldn't work out or anything, but try to be as active as possible. Bike, run, join a sport, do something!
