I’m jealous of my boyfriend because he is so smart and is so good at school. He takes advantage of the opportunities. He will get a full ride to a four year college and I’ll be at a community college. I know there is nothing wrong with that, but I work my butt off hard and nothing ever happens. I feel like when he gets accepted into a college I’ll have trouble being happy for him. This doesn’t mean I love him any less, but I just wish I was like him. More assertive, but I don’t know where to even starter what can I even do

Envy is a difficult thing to deal with sometimes. I have experienced it a lot myself. Watching people effortlessly make it through, while you work hard and only get small reward, it sucks! What I learned to do is to just accept that some people just find it easier than me. It takes a while to fully accept it, but putting energy into jealousy is very slippery slope. You have the choice to put negative energy into that feeling. If you wish to be more assertive, I recommend finding out what your strengths are, and using the energy from those strengths to fuel confidence, which leads to assertiveness. A strength is something that gives you energy, and a vital is something that takes away energy. If dressing nicely is one of your strengths, then use it. If dealing with people is one of your vitals, work around it. There's always a way. You just gotta find the right way.
ReplyDon't compare yourself to other people because they are different compared to you. Not everybody is perfect and trust me that everyone has one puzzle that they haven't solved yet. Be happy what you are, accept the person you are now so you could grow to be better as you were before. Don't be down that people gained so many even though you did so hard to get the same result, we are human and we are not that perfect. Aim to improve and learn from others who failed and succeeded. Good luck and i hope you'll be successful. YOU GO GORL!!!!!!!
