Once, far away,
A girl lived as a liar
Her words driven by force
Of an unspoken desire
Her friends, in their spite
Went to inquire
Of her reason for speaking,
Her unspoken desire
She opened her mouth,
Tongue sharply inspired,
And found she knew not
Of her own heart's desire
In a moment of panic,
She fled and retired
To the vast forest wild,
An abandoned spire
She spent her days there,
For the view she admired
She'd look at the world,
Seeking her desire
And in the dying days
Of her lonely empire,
She looked from her tower
And saw a raging fire
Tears streamed down wrinkled cheeks
And she fell from her spire
She cried "Oh, I wish for a reason!"
Her unspoken desire
