Although this happened last year, I feel the need to share this.
Okay. So last spring I began the worst depressive episode of my teenage life. It seemed to be going downhill very fast; and it went from mild to moderate in just a month and a half. This was when I discovered the band My Chemical Romance. Their songs helped me through some hard times. However, eventually my depression became worse. And by that I mean a lot worse... I began cutting and eventually started seriously considering suicide. By November I had a plan, and was going to follow through with it. One night in mid December, I decided that o wanted my time to be up— and I attempted suicide by slitting my wrists. I woke up the next morning wishing harder than ever that I didn’t wake up. I decided that I would try a more foolproof method on New Year’s Eve, which was coming up in just a few weeks.
Fast forward to December 29th. I knew that this would be one of the last times when I got to listen to music, so I turned on my YouTube playlist and sat there. At some point this song came on that I had not heard before: “the light behind your eyes” by MCR. The lyrics affected me in a way that no other song really had: they gave me just enough strength to keep going at least for now. In January some stuff happened and eventually my depressive episode faded.
I am forever grateful to this band for saving my life. <3

That's okay, dear!
I wish I was more active regarding keeping up with bands and etc. I feel kind of missing out A LOT, but, I simply shrug it off... I mean, the most important part is to learn something with each of the band members, story behind the songs and if possible, one day go to a concert.
