I used to write stuff on here about how I was stressed about homework and school and friends and occasionally suicidal thoughts. But after I’d posted it I always read other people’s and thought about how insignificant and stupid my problems were. Gradually the sadness (bc I don’t want to self diagnose depression) and anxiety led to self harm but I still thought I had it better than so many people so my problems weren’t valid and needed to be pushed away by punching it out. Now I realise I do have issues and I know they aren’t as bad as someone else’s but they are bad to me and although I should get help that is the last thing I want to do because I’ve dug myself too deep and I’m ashamed of my problems.
Anyway enough rambling about me, what I wanted to say is please don’t ever belittle your own or someone else’s issues because there are people worse off than you. Remember that you don’t have it the worst in the world and be grateful but don’t disregard it remember you are valid and you don’t have to be perfect and happy all the time. Everyone has a bad day or week or month or even year don’t be ashamed and don’t hide it if you don’t want to pretend to be happy and talk to friends say you aren’t in a good mood or you don’t feel like being overly social you don’t have to spill everything just be slightly honest and remember lots of people can relate and will understand what you are going through.
I hope you have a nice day or at least better after reading this.
A Xx
