I want a career in performing arts, but I can't tell anyone about it, not even my parents. They tell me that I can pursue whatever career I like, as long as I'm happy, but I feel like people would judge me if I try to pursue a career in performing art, people will judge me. I'm scared that people will judge me. I've always loved to perform, and I've been performing since I was a kid, but then I was diagnosed with anxiety a couple of months ago, and ever since, I can't audition for plays and musicals.

I used to want to pursue performing arts too and I always knew that judgments are always gonna be there. Perhaps you may be afraid of how people could criticize you while doing what you are passionate about but that's a part of being a performer. I have anxiety too and I'm quite introverted myself but I think of performing as a way to express myself. Being a performer myself, I always keep in mind that I perform because it's what makes me happy and being onstage with the bright lights, music and adrenaline accompanying me, I realized how euphoric such feeling is. Nothing could top your own happiness and it's up to the audience whether they may like it or not, as long as you are happy then what you're doing is right.
