So when Society said not to play with the Asian kids, it said its because if I did they’d just outshine me. Brother told me not play with the gay kids. Brother is not against them. When I was young I met little birdie named Society. Society used to tell me how to feel. So when Society said not to play with the gay boy, it said its because his love isn’t real. I just want to play with the other kids. But when I walk in my class, Society puts a big red X on everyone. So I sit alone in the back. Why is no one talking to me? Do I have a big red X on me too? This all makes me wonder, what does Society tell them to do? When I was young I met little birdie named Society. Society used to tell me all the secrets to life. But as I got older I realized something. All Society did was lie. Society lied so I’d judge my peers. So I’d teach my kids to judge them too. Society pinned the world against each other. So now we lost our power to choose. I can’t choose who I want to be. Because from the second I walk into this world Society puts a label on me.
