Terrible First Impression

A day I will never forget.

I woke up feeling good. Everything was normal, life was fine; there was nothing wrong. I had a trip to Charlotte that afternoon, I had to help my older sister with her FAFSA, I was so excited to go visit her, her boyfriend and her dog-fluffy. I also had the intention of meeting a friend there, a cute friend might I add. So, I ate breakfast and got dressed.

I said goodbye to my little sister, mom and dad and I was on my way to Charlotte.

The drive was great, no traffic and that was most likely due to coronavirus, I’m not complaining though I really enjoyed the drive.

I remember listening to Badbunny’s new albums- YHLQMDLG and LAS QUE NO IBAN A SALIR, such amazing albums.

Once I finally arrived to my sisters apartment complex I was immediately greeted by their dog, the same one I mentioned earlier, Fluffy.

After I greeted everyone, I quickly began to work on helping my sister complete her FAFSA application. We were not able to get to far into the application due to nat having the correct Tax Transcript year, so I requested a copy be mailed to me via USPS.

We all hangout and chatted for a while, I was enjoying my time there.

My friend and I were snapping back and forth, we were coming up with ideas as to what we could do while we hangout since everything was pretty much closed- corona problems. We agreed on going to a park and sitting on a hammock.

While we made plans, my sister and her boyfriend decided to order all of us Zaxby’s. I ordered The Zaxby’s Club, it is a sandwich with tenders-basically a BLT but with chicken tenders. They ordered Chicken Finger plates.

The food took YEARS to arrive, but once it did arrive, it was extremely good! I did not eat much of my food, I was starting to feel very nervous at the fact that I was to meet a really cute guy, it has been such a long time since I have gone out with someone.

He pulled up, my heart was literally in my throat! I could not help but hope I make a very good first impression.

I got into his car, it was clean and I really liked that. We started talking about what kind of music we listened to and what we like to do on out free time. I do not know why, but I felt as if he was not feeling my vibe, I suppose maybe my lack of communication and feeling nervous was defiantly showing. As time went on, I was actually enjoying every minute of it. I couldn’t help but notice his monotoned voice, it truly seemed like he was not having a good time. The more I spoke to him, the more I felt out of place. This resulted in confusion and quite frankly I started to feel sad even. The more time we spent together the more annoyed he got, I tried changing my tone of voice, but that did not help, it seemed to make him more annoyed,

The park closed at 8pm, might I add, we got there around 6:30(ish).

We got into his car and before he left he asked if I wanted a kiss, I said “sure” but then out of nowhere he rolls his eyes(?). I was EVEN more confused!!!! I want on to say, “what? Do you want a more straight up answer?…. Yes, I do want one.”

He leaned in, I was aiming towards his mouth, but HE MOVES and kisses my CHEEK. WHAT IN THE WORLD??????

He says “you are one awkward ass person.”

At that point I felt so bad. I can’t believe I had just made the WORST first impression. He takes me back to my sisters place and I send him a message apologizing, He replied and said it was okay, he’s just chillin. No big deal.”

We snapped two more times and that was it. He left me on open and has not spoken to me since. It’s been two days.
