hey there. my name is ian. i'm seventeen years old and planning on moving out of my family house. i have a safe place im going to move into. where i live, i can do this without any legal action. however, i still need to tell my parents. my sister already knows, and she's been supportive of me. but i keep freezing up when i try to tell my mom and dad, because they're a huge part of the reason of why im leaving home early. i know they're not going to take it well.
any advice on how i should tell them, or on how to be less nervous would be extremely appreciated. thank you

Try to focus on your end goal. Why it's all worth it to you. Even though in the moments before you tell them you'll be dreading it and nervous as heck, remind yourself that everything passes. This is a step you have to take, but once you take it it's over. Someday this will be something you look back on. Focus on the future and why you're doing this for yourself.
Replythank you for this advice. i will try to keep this in mind. thank you
Replytake them to a place like a special place that has childhood memories. Use the start to finish method. First talk about a memory you had of the place and then get into the reasons the you are moving out. First the bad things then the good things. Then tell them your moving out and thank them for helping you get this far. If they get mad just leave. I suggest the in case of this have some essentials at the place you bought so you can stay there until things cool down. Good luck! (I just made this up on the spot)
Replythank you for the advice and luck!
