Ok. Here goes.
I have been super tense all day. I will be leaving my home and my family in two years to go to college. I felt terrible.
I know, imagine your own life, happy, and I did. But turns out, I can only imagine up to like, 30 years at most. What then?
I overthink too much. I want to stop. I want to be shallow and care only about having fun and making my own life.
Suggest some ways to come back to the present guys!

find yourself. listen to music and play music. you will find yourself. have u heard of "sikhism"? they have the best meditation videos on youtube. they calm me down SO MUCH. find friends and plan an activity. you prolly see all over ppls instas that they are with friends on the beach and u prolly feel jealous. well, if u want that type of life DO something (kinda obvi ik) u should connect with friends
ReplyYou're not being present because you're stressing out about the future. The solution? Just stop thinking so many years down the line. Being present is taking life as it comes and working towards shorter term goals if you wish to have something to keep you going.
ReplyTry not to think so far into the future. Try and focus on shorter time spans that will help u not worry so much. So concentrate on what u have to do tonight. Tomorrow.the day after that. The little things r what make up the big things
ReplyYou cannot suddenly stop overthinking. I'm kinda facing something like this but I know that overthinking will only waste the time which I can enjoy with my family and friends. It was difficult and still sometimes this thought haunts me but I try to appreciate everyone around me. This not only makes other person happy but also draws a positive environment around you. You cannot decide future but you can live your present in a happy and positive manner try to focus on it.
ReplyI understand this. I worry about my future all the time too. Although I'm only 13.
My advice would be to ask your friends for help if you can. If theyre having the same problems, you can vent to each other. If they aren't, they can help you. Good luck!!!
