ReplyNobody in my family has gotten the coronavirus but due to the severe condition of the world I would not be surprised if that happened. I "know" one person with it and he had to get a tracheotomy. Though he is currently in rehabilitation he probably won't make it. Every night my head spins, thinking about my republican paternal grandparents. They do not follow coronavirus guidelines and are both in their seventies. While my grandmother is not the nicest of people she certainly does not deserve death. Of course she has type 2 diabetes and tons of other health issues. My grandfather is an amazing guy. I love him so much, but he had a heart attack more then a year ago.
Considering the circumstances my grandmother will probably not make it, my grandfather might have a chance.
It is so hard to think about it, but in this game of life many bad things can happen.
I know the feeling of loss during the lock-down. In spring I lost a very good friend of mine that I had been meeting every summer at an event. I was supposed to stay with him and his wife during the event. But the lock-down cancelled it. He did not have coronavirus, but cancer. I still do not know what type it was. His wife kept his health secret. I want to hug her and tell her how good of a mother and wife she was. She lost her son at sixteen due to a brain injury. Her husband was his step-dad. They used to tell me how much I reminded them of him. Her husband was the only thing pushing her to live and carry on her son's legacy. And now he is gone. Without her son's death we never would have met, because she never would have gone to the event for his organization. Death is awful, but it brings people together in a way.
This thing is hard on us all. Grief never goes away, it only becomes more manageable. I wish your father the absolute best. But wishing can not change the course of events. It can only make them more hopeful. I wish I had a better relationship with my dad. Please do not fight with him while he is sick. Only show love. And PLEASE tell him that somebody thanks him for working on the front line and saving lives. His work is very much appreciated.

ReplyIf he is over 65 years old or has a weak immunity system he might be in a serious way. If he isn't it's nothing to worry about because covid is only a flu. I was watching a reality TV show where a guy's name is Kovid. I bet he gets called kovid 19.
ReplyI read a webtoon with someone named Kovit he always gets called KOVIT-19
ReplyThe webtoon is not even bones, right? I love that webtoon haha
