My sister is the 'favourite' but it's not what you think. She has a condition that takes up most of my mother time. When she was first diagnosed my father had left and my mother sent me away to her friends house because she didn't have time to look after me.
This may seem like nothing too you but as a young child I sent sent to a complete stranger for a couple of months when I should have been building a relationship with my mother. This effected me in later life because now I have bad anxiety with socialising and I even struggle to ask for my own family for things.
I love my sister more than anything but sometimes I feel so alone but I don't say anything because that would be selfish. I don't know what to do because I don't what people to think I hate my sister but it's just really painful sometimes.

Reply"This may seem like nothing too you " actually I think it's a big deal and i'm sorry you had to go through that. And it's not surprising that you have issues with anxiety and socialization, most people do and you've dealing with a lot more than most people. I had a friend who grew up with a brother with severe autism and it affected her life a lot. I think a lot of people are in your situation, you should try to find some for support.
