I have always been 'That' girl. The one that is easily forgotten or almost invisible. I'm the one that would rather be in the library with a pile of books to read. I would be the one who when asked to a party thinks of every excuse not to go.
Probably the least outgoing person you're ever going to meet, and I really don't care about admitting it. I could care less about the stuff that most girls care about, and I rather focus on myself than having a boyfriend to follow me around.
I really don't have much confidence. When I look into the mirror I just see someone who is ordinary. I have brown eyes, probably the most common eye color you can get. Long straight brown hair that just seems boring. No curves anywhere. I'm kind, but that is only a weakness that people use to treat you like crap.
Whenever I am just myself people are like she's such a suck up when I'm just being genuine. People want girls these days to be rude and feisty, spend their time taking selfies, going on dating apps and shopping. When you're kind, like to read, and keep to yourself people assume that your weird.
They make me feel like I should have been born in a different era or something. I wish I was

Hey, being different is not a bad thing. I encourage it, seeing as that I'm just like you. I'm different than other people too (I hate large crowds) and I've been down the same path you're travelling right now-- including the bit about confidence.
You don't have to be exactly like other people, even though it's tempting to want to. But you shouldn't change yourself to fit the mold that people expect out of you; it keeps you from living your truth. I'm proud to be different because then it means I get to stand out from the crowd. So be proud that you're different. What fun would it be if everyone was the same?
My advice to you is to block out all of those people you were telling us about-- the ones that say you're a suck-up. You don't need them in your life. Instead you need to keep being you and doing what makes you happy, and don't be ashamed about it. Don't live your life like other people, live your life like yourself. After all, as far as we know, we only get one...

Amber
