When I was about 10 yrs. old, I was staying at my grandpa's house one night. I was laying in bed and all of a sudden he layed in bed beside me. He started touching me in innapropriate places. Ever since, I feel like I am overreacting when I say I was molested, which is why I don't tell people. Am I overreacting?

No, you are not. You should stay confident on what you felt.
ReplyStay away from him. If you see him doing this to you again then don't hesitate to tell your parents the truth.
ReplyI wouldn't say you're overreacting, it's certainly interesting how the mind of a young child perceives things like this. With the permission of my friend, I will tell a personal story of his.My friend was five years old when one the neighborhood kids took my friend into his own backyard and sodomized him. This guy was probably a few years older than him, seven or eight he says. My friend thought nothing about this incident until he was about thirteen when things started to flashback and surface again. My friend started feeling conflicted between feelings of the same sex and trying to feel "normal" with himself. So, the point of this story is not talking about it to someone can often backlash in the long run. You could confront your problem with someone you trust or avoid it for the rest of your days. Either way, I am terribly sorry you had this uncomforting experience.
