You are as fast as light, and dark as a starless void. You flood my mind with grief the moment my eyes are pierced with light. You are quick to work and slow to rest. I can sit for hours fighting you, yet you always step on my stomach in triumph. I lay in anguish ripping at your legs with my fingers. You are unfazed by everything I attempt. As my arms fall to the floor you look at me in disgrace, as if it still wasn’t enough. You’re proudly raised hand dives down to pick me up.
For once I found comfort in you.
Maybe you’re not as bad as I thought.
Your arms wrap around me while waves of calmness flood over me, feeling as if we are floating. As you smile shivers are rapidly sent down my spine. I looked down to see where we stood was further away. Your grip slowly loosened around my back, and I began to slip. I fell trying to grab you, yet my hands passed through yours. I tried screaming and calling to you, but you had taken my voice years ago. I closed my eyes in fear listening to harsh winds break past my ears.
Abruptly the wind had stopped. My heart was leaping out of my chest as my eyes opened to my dark bedroom. I looked over to see you sitting proudly, with the same sinister smile on your face.
