There has been a lot going on and I’m stressing out. First off I found out my grandpa might have lung cancer and my friend is going through a tough time. I don’t know how to start so I’ll say this. Last Tuesday I found out my grandpa might have lung cancer. After I completed my homework I went out in the kitchen and my mom was tearing up. Then she says that she has news. I say okay and she proceeds to tell my my grandpa(her dad) might have lung cancer. I’m really close with him I can imagine what would happen if he died. So I keep a straight face listening tear up a little bit then go get ready. As soon as I get into the bathroom I break down and sob. I can’t imagine how alone I would feel without him. No good morning or good day texts. Then on top of that my friend vents to me about her home life. I have to stay strong I don’t know what to do. Then on top of that I’m not sleeping because of all this. But when I do sleep it’s cause I’ve cried myself to sleep. Please help and suggest what I should do.

Grandparents die because when they get old they get things wrong with them and eventually can't go on any more. It is sad but true. However, depending on your grandpa's age and health he could pull through and continue living for a few more years yet.
Don't get too involved with your friend's home life as it isn't your problem. Just listen and give sympathy. After all you aren't a counselor. So don't take on the problems of others because this is too much for you. Say a prayer every day for your grandpa. Might have lung cancer doesn't mean he has it.
ReplyMy sincere respect to the author,
The weigh of the world in not meant to be on your shoulders. You love dearly and is afraid to loss what you love. Your grandpa *may die from lung cancer sooner or later and you need to let go (*may and is not certain). Death will be upon us all and as a mere human being we can't control faith (as long as one is living no one is an excemption). Knowing all this, you must cherish every moment you have with that person you love. Don't weep for he is not yet loss. Don't waste time because time is precious. Love what you may loss. Because that is the true meaning of loving someone.
To the friend you have,
She have problems? Let her deal with her problems. She have his own world let her handle her things. Give if needed, help if she needs help, talk if you feel, comfort when she's down. But never ever comes to aid if she's not in pain. For a simple sneeze will become fatal if excessive medication is used. Just saying that as long as your friend does not need help, comfort and talk is enough.
