Inevitability: a social crisis

Every day I see more and more, people lean towards this newer notion of identity politics. It's only a few people here and a few people there for the moment.

Yet, the results have already led to people literally not be willing to help someone in need, there's just too much risk to get involved. You could end up being hurt or killed and if you survive, there's a good chance you'll be thrown in jail for bring a good samaritan.

You also see it in other areas too, now. It's been going for the last decade or so. Just yesterday an elderly Asian woman was brutally beaten while 2 security guards stood by and did nothing. I don't particularly blame them, however. The aggressor was a black male, the security guards were as well.

It's not the only example of people being oblivious to people in need either and it all stems back to these identity politics that have run rampant through this country in recent years.

The aggressor even yelled racially charged statements at the old woman while stomping on her head. Let that sink in for a moment.

Honestly, it disgusts me that our society has devolved in such a way. But this is what happens, altruism is not rewarded here. It's much easier to be a coward and just go about your life, there's simply less threat.

While we watch horrific acts becoming more and more frequent, I don't have any doubts that eventually we just become France or Italy and just start preaching "we are stronger than this" instead of actually addressing the issues.

It's coming, like it or not. Regardless of which political party you affiliate with or any of that other stuff, it just comes down to who can point their finger at you and have power over you.

If you're a male, especially white, yeah, your opinion and emotions are invalid and it's becoming more and more frequent that this kind of behavior shows up.

The only problem with all of this is the fact that this is how you make real extremists. You keep on pushing that narrative that only one certain race is bad and one certain gender is always wrong and you end up creating the monsters.

Sooner or later, the cap is going to fly off and it's not going to be pretty nor will the aftermath be fun to clean.

While people go about their lives, as some person is murdered in cold blood, or beaten to the brink of death, or whatever.

This drive of self interest will be our downfall. I can only hope that people will wake up before that threshold is broken. Of course, who am I kidding? We've very likely already busted that threshold some time ago.

So what do we end up with? A bunch of self important, narcissistic, racially charged people running society, which quickly decays away as no rules can really be established other than the rule of law. I mind my own business = better chance of survival.

This very issue we face today answer's the age old question on whether we've passed our great filter or if it's still ahead.

The answer should be obvious now. Our great filter is yet ahead of us and it is quickly coming. Everything that has a beginning, has an end.
