Hey all, I am 19 years old an a college student. 4 years ago I lost about 40 kilos with a really bad diet. I ate 800 calories a day and whenever I ate about 1000 calories, I felt guilty. So at the age of 16 I reached my goal weight, but the journey was not how I imagined it to be: endless running, less calories and the possessive look at the scale. Food was my life and is my life, cause I always think of it. I don't puke or binge eat, but I am never happy with my body and feel guilty whenever I eat.
I eat an apple, I feel guilty. (=sugar)
I drink a cappuccino, I feel guilty. (=milk= too much calories)
I eat ice cream, I feel guilty. (=milk + sugar; don't eben touch it)
Now I have gained about 7-10 kilograms and don't feel happy at all. 24/7 I am thinking about food and never get full of it.
Does anyone have the same problem as me?

Dear mum, why are you so jealous?

Yeah, I know that feeling. Ask yourself this, though; are you really eating out of boredom or hunger (or even to cope with emotions)? Often when you realize you're eating because you're bored, it becomes easier to control how much you eat because you realize that you THINK you need it but you don't FEEL like you do. When you're hungry, you just know. You should be able to eat a generally decent diet without gaining too much weight, especially if you exercise a safe amount. You can still eat whatever you want without gaining weight as long as you're not consuming too many calories from eating out of boredom.
