I’m 17 years old, will be 18 in the fall and any time I bring up a plan to move on to my parents, they tell me all the ways I can’t and won’t be able to do it. they have never ever given me actual advice, told me it’s possible or that I can do it if I work for it or anything. makes me depressed and disappointed that they think I can’t do it and that I’m not capable. Idk what to do because what they say gets to me so now I think I can’t do it

I'm sorry to say you didn't do well in the parent lottery. A parents major job is to train children to be able to live good lives on their own. They don't seem to be doing that at all. You are probably missing skills. You should study them on your own. Find stuff on the internet. Google things like 'how to live on your own'. 'things adults should know'. Learn about how to pay bills, how to get a job, how to eat, etc. You can figure it out. Many, many people have. Don't be afraid to try it will be good for you.
