He drove around drunk

With our son in the vehicle, he drove around drunk and crashed into things. And who knows how much of it was hit and run. At least my son is alive. But the only thing he had to do with that was to nut in me and then buy him a few things. While I did it all, I was able to make sure that my child was fed and clothed and had proper care taken of him but his dad couldn't do that. Sure, blame depression but that only goes so far because I have mental health struggles too. I get told that my mental health is "no excuse" for sometimes having unconventional feelings, by the same people who defended him for neglecting his child because of his mental illness. Now which is worse?
