Decided to help a troubled kid at work. But, I made a lot of mistakes, broke protocol without realizing, and things I shouldn't suppose to said around other kids and troubled kid. The troubled kid told the parents what I said and did. That ends up not coming back to the worksite. Hopefully, I should slap on the wrist or resigned. Waiting if I get fired from the S*** D*** or send to another S*** site for now I don't know? Now. I don't want to be a teacher in the future.

Assuming you did not violate any civil laws - I get why the expression exists "no good deed shall go unpunished", however it is misleading because it is only said when someone "gets punished" meaning countless good deeds go "unpunished". What counts is your intentions, but yes probably best to stay within the bounds of work policies.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, no need to submit for fear of being beheaded. Learn and strengthen your faith through your own free will; and better yet: no public displays of devotion required. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
