A object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon an outside force. Likewise a object at rest tends to stay at rest. I am on a weight loss journey, and I have up on fad diets. I have decided to just eat less/healthier and exercise. I am currently taking a break from jump roping, and I am having a hard time getting back up. For a idea, I am 5'5 and 275 pounds. Yeah. Please, just any words of motivation and/or advice would be helpful.
Thanks!

You can do this!!
One thing I would recommend is telling someone that you are working towards this as it means you are more likely to complete it and you don't make as many excuses!
ReplyThanks, but my family aren't supportive like that and I don't have any friends. Thanks tho. :)
ReplyVery good that you've given up on the fad diets because you'll need to be healthy for the rest of your life, not just for a short time. It's a difficult thing to achieve but once you achieve this you will have so much pride in yourself and your life will change, not just being more physically agile but also you will have a stronger mind. Food is a type of addiction for some people so you would definitely benefit from speaking to someone about it like a counsellor or therapist to help you understand your addiction and control it. But you can do this, nobody else is gonna do it for you. Take one day at a time and theres always no use starting tomorrow if there's still time today. Good luck with everything!
ReplyOkay first I'm so proud of you for even getting the motivation to get started. I feel like that's the hardest task of all.
I get that it can be hard to continue because it's physically draining, but try your best to push through because you'll be proud of yourself in the end no matter what. I'm proud of you. Honestly I admire you because you worked up the courage to start in general, so now just use that same courage to continue. Although be aware you are still human and need breaks. Give your body a resting day or hours whatever feels right for you. Don't exert yourself to the point where you end up miserable because that will stop the motivation altogether. Remember to still eat healthy proportions that work for your body. Also you could always go for a walk the days you don't feel like jump roping. It's a nice way to get out and enjoy the views, and maybe even bring your dog or a friend with.
Anyways I hope I helped a little. And you can do this I believe in you :)
ReplyThank you so much!! I will take your advice to heart. I won’t lie, it is hard, especially for a 15 year old. I also have pcos so it makes it harder for me. Thank you so much for your kind and motivating words!!
