So, I Love God. For whatever reason idk part of me thinks He was always the parent I had since my parents didn't really care about me. I used to fast wed and Fridays and all of the church's fasts, and pray everyday but now I can hardly fast and I only pray Wednesdays and fridays. This lately I've been feeling a need for unconditional love but for one it's hard to feel that from someone you can't see and 2, no matter how hard I try it feels like I'm never enough. Of course I'm never enough to someone omnipotent but I try but it doesn't feel like it's unconditional. I feel like an asshole saying this because He litterally died on a cross for me but idk I still have these feelings. I feel like if I stop fasting and praying all together He will stop loving me, especially if I don't follow the commandments. But simply put I can't change who I am. If I'll just go back to my old ways how does He expect me to change? It all seems in Vain and I just feel confused and alone.

One thing i always believe about religion is, religion is a lifestyle. Sometimes during the process of transitioning our lifestyle it can be pretty exhausting. So take it slow and don't rush it. Relearn about the reasons behind the practices we are told to follow. Sometimes we just need some refreshments in our faith though we don't actually forgot the reasons and facts.
ReplyYou should talk to a church pastor about this and ask him to explain the answer to you. All I can tell you is that God loves you the way you are. Obey the ten commandments and be as good as you can and read the Bible to get to know God and then build a relationship with Him.
Replyhe does love you unconditionally and he's probably hurt to hear you say he doesn't. remember we don't know God's path for us, he does. if you're being tested on something or being tempted by the devil because you're trying to side with God ask him for help and show him he can trust you, remembering only he knows what's really intended for you.
ReplyHello. As humans, we can never attain the perfection of God. But one thing we are blessed with, is having a personal relationship with our Creator and God, who loved us regardless of who we are. Remember, even while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). So His love is not something we earn by what we do or are capable of doing, but that He has freely given us that love and so we can live the life He intend and called for us to live, which we'd know more day by day spending time with Him. And if you are motivated by love for God, you would not want to do something that would hurt Him, or do something against His will and truth. So take heart, dear friend, receive Christ in your life as personal Lord and Savior, and moment by moment live the life He intended You to live. And that life you'll know more as you humbly come to Him and in His word. Have a blessed day!
ReplyJust keep seeking Jesus. He is all you really need. The church going, Bible reading, worship music, fasting, it all helps to grow in your relationship with God. But when your pursuing Christ all of things will naturally fall into place like a puzzle.
ReplyGod will never stop loving you !!!! Doesn’t matter what you think you’ve done. His love for us is unconditional. Talk to him. He listens. Tell him your concerns. Also surround yourself with religious people like yourself. Speak to someone. Everything will work out
