Me and 5 of my friends (3 boys and 2 other girls plus me) are going on a trip. Rn we have 3 rooms booked in a hotel and I'm stuck sharing a room with one of the boys. it's not like I don't like him ofc because we're all friends but like.... we have to share a bed. This hotel isn't too fancy so there's not even a couch to sleep on. I'm uncomfy, what do I do??? I don't want to complain about it to anyone because I don't wanna hurt his feelings or inconvenience everyone else. Also I dont wanna tell him bc ik he'll try to sleep on the floor or something (he's too nice) and I'll feel bad :(( Ugggghhhh what's wrong with meee? He doesn't creep me out at all, we're good friends and I still can't get over it. Why?? What does that mean? I feel like trash for so many reasons. It just makes me nervous for no reason and it's annoying because I just want to relax and have fun and SLEEP omg I know I'm gonna be able to sleep ughh I'm gonna cry and I don't even know why I feel like this

You feel like this bc even though you’re just friends, it’s still weirdly intimate to share a bed. It’s not like sharing a bed with a female friend. He has a PENIS. It’s weird. You should definitely let your discomfort be known in situations like these. Whoever organized this trip, what were they thinking?? Lol. Maybe you can squeeze in the girls’ room. Or he can sleep in the guys’ room.
ReplyA lot of hotels can offer additional beds if asked, usually it's a folding bed of some kind but sometimes they will just wheel in something more. My advice would be to talk with your friends and just say that you would rather share a room with the other girls or have your own room. If you switch down to two you'll save some money as well and will avoid any awkwardness, but it's perfectly normal to feel stressed out with the situation and I'm sure your friends will want everybody to feel relaxed and comfortable during your trip.
