This story is a bit tmi but I would appreciate any answers.
When I was in my old relationship I would give my ex handjobs. I noticed something weird, but I was a virgin so I’m not too sure if it is weird. When he would finally climax he wouldn’t have white semen (that most people talk about), he would have clear semen that felt like mucus or discharge from a vagina.
Does anyone have any answers as to why. I read that it meant infertility or something along those lines. Thank you in advance.

I'm a male but....not a doctor.
It is important to understand that there is some "consistency" or "normalcy" of what happens with most men but we obviously know that everyone's body is different and, as such, will react differently in different situation.
Having said that, I can say that TYPICALLY, when a man is aroused, his penis will be prone to releasing small amounts of pre-cum. This is a clear, slippery-like liquid that may or may not contain sperm. Initial arousal will typically cause the penis to become erect but, with further arousal and before climax, the penis can release small amounts of this pre-cum.
Again, typically, a man will receive pleasurable sensations that act as a countdown timer to a climax. In this, there is a heightened sensation of pleasure and you know that only a few seconds later, you are going to have an orgasm and ejaculate. That said, you can typically know with some degree of accuracy when you're going to orgasm and ejaculate.
Pre-cum, on the other hand, comes with no warning sign and I've never known anyone who was able to prevent it from happening. If you have started the countdown for an actual orgasm, you MAY be able to stop the motions and have the sensation go away for the purpose of waiting until later to have the orgasm. This is hard to do and typically only if you decide to stop the motions just after you realize the internal pleasure clock has started counting down. But, again, there is no warning like this for pre-cum and I've never known anyone who could sense it coming and certainly don't know anyone who is able to prevent it.
Additionally, and as it would relate to your question, pre-cum is typically clear and simply oozes from the tip of the penis as it isn't pressurized to eject from the penis like an actual ejaculation. The pre-cum acts as a lubricant and can help neutralize acids in the vagina to pave safe passage for the sperm.
During climax, for an actual ejaculation, sperm gets mixed with seminal fluid to create semen. Remember the countdown? Here, you're mixing the clear liquid (pre-cum) with the white liquid containing the sperm. Those ingredients create the semen, or ejaculate.
Typically, when you ejaculate only the clear liquid, it means there have been many recent ejaculations meaning, of course, you've drained your body of the white liquid and sperm. And while this can mean there is currently a low sperm count, it should obviously be noted that it doesn't mean there are no sperm present and certainly shouldn't be assumed that you would not, or could not, become pregnant from only the clear stuff. As was mentioned earlier, the clear liquid can contain live sperm.
At this point, we understand what the clear liquid is and how it could be possible to have an ejaculation with little to no seminal fluid.
To finalize all of this, I've seen on several sites from credible sources that most shades of white, grey, or clear are all "normal" colors for ejaculate. If it appears to be another color, there would be a good reason to bring this up with a doctor.
All that said, and after reminding you that I'm a man but not a doctor, it would be my best guess that your ex was having an orgasm, or several orgasms, prior to the time you were giving a handjob. Some men do this in hopes that, if actual intercourse would happen later on, say, a date, the sex may last longer. It's quite likely that he had ejaculated a time or two a few hours prior to meeting up with you in hopes of making any sexual activity last longer. In that, he may have previously ejaculated most of the seminal fluid and so, with you, he only ejaculated the clear, lubricating liquid but there was no seminal fluid for it to mix with. Furthermore, and as was previously stated, the clear ejaculate is considered "normal" anyway.
"Normal" maybe, yes, but I wouldn't say common.
Again, not a doctor so there could be another reason this happened to him with you but, I'm a little older and have experienced these things myself and have also heard stories from friends through the years to say this would be my best guess to explain your situation.
I hope this helps but likely someone with some medical certification could shed some different light on this.
Thanks,
Mirage
ReplyWeird conversations with friends you have.
ReplyYes, it's true. I just find that after you've known someone long enough, subjects like this aren't taboo. Everyone experiences instances of sexual gratification and most crave it on a regular basis so it's strange to me, then, that most hide that part of their lives away as if it's a bad thing and they don't want others to know they're associated with such acts in any way. Silly to me but I understand everyone is different, I've never pushed for conversations like those, and I certainly don't get upset if they don't happen.
ReplyNow I can only hope the information is helpful, at least in some way, to the original poster. That's why we're here. :)
