A lot of high schools want to minimize the amount of moving between classes or crowded hallways cause of Covid-19. That makes sense. However, the school boards have been terrible at actually implementing this. Most kids in my high school are vaccinated so that’s good but the course schedules have really messed with all of our minds. I feel like they maybe should’ve addressed actual students or even teachers about making a schedule because honestly this isn’t really helpful. Before COVID-19, we would have two semesters and would do four courses in each. I really miss that tbh. During our practically completely online year, they made us do only two courses for 2 or 3 months and each class being 2 and half hours. That was really annoying because it’s really difficult for the students and teachers to be in a class for that long. It also created a big learning gap for maths and sciences. Now that we are back, we are doing 4 courses in a semester again but, we have two courses a week and switch to the other two courses the next week. Each week alternates and for me, This is super difficult. They might as well have stuck to the 4 courses a day schedule because at the end of the day, there is barely any social distancing in the cafeteria. They already separated lunches by grade and also began encouraging students to eat outside by adding picnic benches. I really wish things could go back to the way they were because honestly, my teachers from one week as us to their homework the week when we aren’t in their classes. They have been advised not to, but I don’t think they care that much
