To Know God

What does it mean to know God?

By reading from an old book? The tales told by believers, doubters and non believers turned to the eyes of Jesus Christ? Imagine if a burning Bush started to speak too you now, in this time? Someone clearly drugged you.

What does it mean to know God in the modern area?

I think it's quite simple. We are born into this world with expectations. Either it be from our parents or the church. They see us and want us to be someone else. To change how we feel and see the world.

But what if I told you the Bible was just a story? It wasn't a book of rules or prophecy. It was just a book with story after story. People's lives and how they came to acceptance. Accepting they can not change what is already been done. Believing in someone more then their own dreams. Having the ability to forgive those who betray us. These small human actions are more important. The story underlines a truth or a message we must figure out. The beauty about books is the meanings behind what the authors are saying. The way we tell story's may have changed, but why we tell story's has not.

We read to feel.

We read to learn.

We read to understand.

We read to have guidance.

And that may sound a little silly. To those of you still reading along, thanks.

But this isn't some rage filled emotional message. This is to help you better understand how a story becomes a belief. And how to get to know God.

If you know anything about history it's doomed to repeat itself. We have habits just like any other animal. A group of men came together when they wrote the Bible. They came together to put together a system of beliefs to help their people.

A book changed the minds and hearts of man. Imagine that? A parchment of paper declaring their own natural law. Huh. Almost doesn't constitutional.

In modern day 2021, how do we see God now? Clearly the story has changed. We have proof and documents out here now that confirm and change the story. Crazy right? But that's life. We have learn and grown. And God has grown with us.

Simply ask yourself what keeps you motivated? What keeps that hope alive in you? Are you all alone? What is that light at the end of the tunnel?

We try to find unconditional love. Threw our parents, children and even our own partners. (Sometimes even Cats) But why? Because you have not known God?

That's what the church will say. That the void in your life can be filled by attending church and practicing God's word.

I disagree...

I think the best way to know God is too see God. So I have. I see that powerful unbound strengthe everyday. In myself and in nature itself.

I see him in the eyes of those fighting to stay strong. I see him in the thunder clap of a storm before a foot ball game. God is with us in the happiest times, like the birth of your first child. Or the loss of our last friend. It's that spark we feel when we win big. The rush of a reeling in that fish.

God can be anyone we say he is. God is more then just what one story says. God is more then one book.

Yes maybe a little crazy. But if you want to know God. Know what it means to be alive. Live. That's our 1 job here on earth. We don't have to be happy all the time. But live. That pain we feel inside our chest that is God's pain too. That burn of rage from the injustice? That's God's wrath. We all have a little spark of God inside of us.

God isn't our jailer.

God isn't our dictator.

God isn't perfect.

God is more human then we are.

We know right from wrong.

To know God is to know the difference.

Don't let the church push you away from being one with God. We all find our own way. And when you get there. Its magical.

For our God comes in all forms. For some it's a women. For others a father figure. Sometimes our God comes in many many forms. And he will come to you when the time is just right. It's our job to listen.

God will come too you and say; Try again, believe in yourself. Your worth more. You can be better. Everything will be okay, because your still alive.

And when the end comes. The end of your chapter. Do not be filled with regrets. Smile. You completed the journey. The spark inside you will return to theuniverse. And you too will be like god...a story.
