What was I thinking

Of course he wouldn’t like me. That pretty girl he was talking about was someone else. I knew I shouldn’t have let my friends hype me up like that. I’m not too bothered that he likes someone else, I’m just bothered that I thought he liked me. The best thing I can do now is just be happy for him. After all, we’re still friends and I value our friendship. There’ll be other guys I’ll like and maybe someday one of those guys will like me back
