My heart likes him, but my brain knows we won't work long term. My heart wants to be with him, but my brain knows that could hurt us both. My heart is scared of hurting him and so is my brain. My heart says I should be with him so we'll be happy, but my brain knows that being with him won't last. My brain also knows the most hurt we will have is when we break apart so we shouldn't get together. It's not a matter of "if," it is a matter of "when," we fall apart in this situation because our values don't match, and I seriously date in hopes of getting married in the future. We can't be together even though we both like each other. It's more complicated in a commitment sometimes.

Give it your best shot so at least you tried and you won't have what ifs; what if we tried, what if I didn't listen to my fear?
ReplyFeelings will go away, one day or another. so just be strong and hold onto your beliefs. One thing married couple do wrong ( I believe its one of the big reasons why there's a lot of divorce) they follow their heart too much. you have to follow them both. look at a person for all they are. not just what you like about them. if your values don't align. then obviously it wont work out in the future. letting go will hurt less if you do it now.
