How will i overcome stage fear ? I get anxious to speak up . I used to get scared from young ages of speaking up in front of people . My heart starts palpitating and it feels like heart is gonna jump out from my chest.; also to start stuttering and for voice to break. I got a speaking activity coming tmrw and i feel like throwing up already . I'll start feeling uneasy and starts running around. Even after answering a question in class , my hands starts to tremble. I somehow want to escape it and i know i cant escape reality . Im scared of reality Does someone know how to overcome stage fear ?

They say imagine everyone naked. Or that nobody is there. When I had to perform on stage I remember it was scary but I got through it. You just do what your meant to be doing and push through it. Thinking of calm waterfalls help too. I think acting like it's an empty room helps more . Breathing exercises before hand may help too.
ReplyI am known for my public speaking abilities in my classes. But that has yet to make it any easier. The moments of preparing my self to speak up are terrifying and I even tend to shake from my panic and nervousness. It has yet to a lot easier, but it has made a difference. I knew that half of the time I would speak, it would be absolutely idiotic. But I reminded myself that these people won’t remember any mistake I made in an hour and if I don’t speak up, nothing that I want to do or say will even have the chance of being heard. I still get nervous, but I have passed the barrier of holding myself back from the light. I can step into it comfortably now, and you can too. Just have confidence in yourself and know it will always be okay to make mistakes
