Does This Guy Like Me? (Pleas Answer!!!)

I'm a 12 year old girl in middle school. And our school is doing this door decorating contest where basically we decorate our homeroom door to the theme of a college we choose. Our teacher told us she's gonna let us vote on the university/college tomorrow, so she asked people to give her college names.

In the end, there were A LOT of colleges and I said Oberlin College because I want to study music there. It's not very well-known so all of my classmates (and even teacher) have never heard of it.

Later, this boy in my class asked me if I knew where Oberlin was and I admitted I didn't know. He searched it up for me (It's in Ohio btw) and I thanked him. He's kind of a trouble-maker (not rude or mean at all just hangs out with sorta bad kids) but he's pretty nice to everyone and especially to me.

At the end of class he told me he's gonna vote for the college I wanted to decorate and I said "thanks!" but he literally has no reason to vote for it because he knows nothing about it, is not interested in music, or even interested in the college itself. Unless he wants my favor, which is why I think he likes me.

He's extra sweet to me (but idk if that's just because I'm pretty nice to everyone) and he told the whole class he promised to vote for my college when everyone was trying to guess which college would win the vote, which was kinda embarrassing but also nice.

He's really nice and sweet so I think if he likes me I would be happy. What do you guys think?
