I can't leave my husband as its my home, he doesn't support me and won't leave. Not even a real legal marriage just symbolic but he won't go. He's emotionally and physically abusive and now that he's been jailed due to it, the abuse is gaslighting and name calling. I'm not a dumb woman, the laws in my state allow him to stay. I'm not leaving as its a 1/2mil dollar home w my belongings and my deceased parents belongings. He owns nothing here, no utilities in his name even but this squatter law in NV allows him to stay unless I evict. So legally, I lock him out, I go to jail eventhough all he owns are clothes (which would be in bags outside) or I evict and then need a TPO immediately for safety. Which one do I choose, because no way in hell am I going to a shelter so he can destroy my home and parental belongings

Abuse back til he's gone or in jail again.
ReplyI don't know why you let him back in after he had been jailed for abusing you. The laws allow him to stay but as it is your home you didn't have to let him return. The laws don't say that you have to have him there. If you can legally evict him do so and get a restraining order on him.
Replyeviction sounds best. and since hes abusive, id buy some sort of weapon like a gun or bat incase he tries to break in. but quick question, whats tpo?
