i don’t think many people ask how are you doing after a baby. It’s more about the baby than whether whoever it is taking care of the baby is alright at least. I don’t know how to just straight out pour out my feelings anymore. I tried that with my child’s father and I felt like shit after because nothing was solved. My daughter is the best thing that has happened to me and I’d do it again but jeez. I know things will get better. Hope and pray for the best

Stay strong mama. It gets easier. ❤️
ReplyMaybe speak to your doctor about how you are feeling? Basically say that you're tired, feeling down etc. It could be post natal depression and there is help and support out there for that. The doctor can refer you to the right people. I know that asking and accepting help is hard but don't leave it too late, please (coming from someone who's had post natal depression, the earlier you ask for help and support, the better)
ReplyAs a culture we ignore mom after baby is born when in actuality, mom is the one most in need of support. So many people disappointed me in how they showed up for me after the birth of my baby. The blessing is that now I know how to better show up for new moms. I really hope things have gotten better for you since you posted this many months ago.
