I see a lot of posts about mental health, depresssion, anxiety etc. on the Internet these days. There are always tons of comments of people relating to these problems. Sometimes I am asking myself if all of them are honest. It seems like every teen is somewhat depressed.
Or it‘s only my feeling and the way algorythms work. They won‘t show the mental health posts to totally healthy people, won‘t they?
Everyone‘s problem seems to be so severe, it makes me feel like if you don‘t have a serious case of mental illness (referring to suicidal thoughts, self harm etc.) your problems don‘t even matter since everyone is feeling so much worse.
Only my perception?
(5 minutes of just writing down my thoughts, I wanted to try this option.)

Question.
Do people in real life, see us the way our camera flips us when we take a picture. Or do they see us how we see ourselves in a mirror, this is all so confusing,...

I don't like to make eye contact. Any ideas about why that may be?
Sometimes eye contact makes me really uncomfortable. It just feels wrong and I have the strong urge to look away. This comes and goes over the course of the day...
Well I'm 30 years old. When I reached like the 4th grade I started to get depressed because it seemed like problems with the world started arising. That was the same year 9/11 happened. I guess real life issues started coming up. Now with social networking you're realizing no one is really happy. I've deleted all my social network accounts except for novni and poetizer. I don't watch the news anymore either. I feel like im depressed enough with my own issues to take on the world's issues too.
ReplyAnd I gotta say none of my friends or family is really happy either. I was told by my older brother that you have to live for the good moments in life.
ReplyAwe, I hope you all find your happiness.
ReplyNot just teens. Adults too. Nobody in my close family is happy. I think its a wide spread problem. Depression anxiety has troubled my family for years so I don't know. Its a big problem. Everyone is different. I ve been told you make your own happiness but its hard when others stand in your way of it and hinder you. Its different for everyone I think.
ReplyI think we’re more connected and open about it than ever
