broke

my mom who is a single parent who works full-time to support her 2 kids in a wealthy county so that we could grow up with the best resources possible despite struggling as a low-income family. we basically live paycheck to paycheck. these days are better than the years before, as my mom has gradually gotten a higher raise. but the rent stays increasing and the inflation as well.

i check my bank account every now and then, not worrying too much. maybe taking it for granted; i'm still a young 20 year old and don't want to worry about my finances.

my mom helps out by adding some money so i don't get a fee.

i realize as i sip my smoothie, the same smoothie i made from the fruit i bought from the store with my own money; this is what i chose to spend with my $9/hr part-time job. i am broke and broken in this capitalist-plagued world.
