The Committment You Want

I remember you said love is a commitment. I didn't truly understand that until today.

I am always committed to you, I always will be. As is such that I'm in love with you. I never fell out of love with you.

I didn't understand my fear of commitment, until I realised how much I want you back in my life.

I never realised how afraid I was to love. Although I said it and meant it, I feel now what it's like to be in love. It's different than simply loving. In love is the space between the words. My body may be north and yours south, by almost a thousand miles. I am in the space between words, in the limbo of trust and commitment.

As never being able to trust, I never was able to make a commitment.

Until now. I don't know if I'll ever have the bravery to say it. I'll hold onto the hope that I can say it to you one day. Whenever, wherever, perhaps in another lifetime.
