i feel like no matter how hard i try sometimes people never give me the same energy i give them and it makes me feel extremely inadequate and undeserving. Likw why is it that everyone i put effort into cant do the same for me but then i turn around and they give rhe level of effort ive always wanted to someone else? i find myself repeating an all too familiar pattern of buying exoenaivw gifts and planning extravagantly in hopes to gain the love ive always wanted but in the end i alwaya regret everything and i juat want to disappear. i know i deserve to feel loved too and have someone do those special things for me too.

I thought this recently and I thought that it could be I’m not communicating as well as I could be. Gifts and extravagant planning is great but everyone loves differently… communication can not only help them understand your needs, feelings and involvement but you’ll get to understand them more too (what page are they on, their love language….). Not sure if this is helpful but here it is.
