I am stressed about college. I am a Senior in high school, and this is the time you have to start thinking about college. As of right now, I have been accepted to the only two schools I have applied to. The first being one of the best schools in Texas, and the other is still an okay school that is in my area. As of right now I am going to the better school, but I am not happy. The only reason I wanted to go in the first place is because my friend was going, and she isnt anymore. After I found out she wasnt going, I tried to come up with reason on why I wanted to go. I can met new people and live in a new area, but aren't all colleges like this? The school is also expensive, far away, and I just don't know if I am ready to live on my own yet. As I started to think about this, I just realized all the benefits of the other school. I already have scholarships from there, there are even more opportunities to gain more scholarships, it is cheaper, closer to home, and good education. The only thing it wouldn't offer is the prestige like the other school. As of right now, I feel like the 2nd school is just better for me in my opinion, but I am scared to tell my parents and friends because it just isn't as fancy (I couldn't think of the word) as the other school. I know it is kinda a dumb reason to be scared, but I am just not brave enough. I feel if I can't even make this decision I DEFINITELY would not survive 8 hours away from home.

Can I still get into Johns Hopkins University?
I struggled last year with some of my grades and in one class this year due to mental health things and I’m wondering if I still have a shot at Johns Hopkins....
You'll survive at either, don't see your inability to decide as an indicator of how you'll manage out of home. You get used to it.
But if scholarships, closer to home will make the 3 or so years significantly better for you, then go with your gut. ❤️
