I know that negative thoughts like sadness, anger, failure, anxiety, fear, regret, and loneliness can lead to feelings of hopelessness. If this is where you are, I’m offering a few minutes of my time every day to help you get to a better place.
I have a useful and evolving understanding about life. My specifics are not that special but are moving in the right direction. Experiencing is all that is happening. If you did not detect it or were not affected by it in any way, you could say it did not happen and would be right. Sensations, perceptions, and thoughts are the input lenses. Everything comes to us through them. We are all the same in this regard. However, what we’ve been through and our opinions are different.
I realize and accept that none of us have complete control over what happens next in our lives, especially if other people and factors are involved. I am tolerant and forgiving of myself and others because we do our best to cope and adjust to our encounters. Being optimistic, I try to find some value in all situations (the good and the bad) and I don’t worry because it is just not that helpful. I shop, cook, eat, clean, work, study, drive, talk with others, etc., or plan now to do these things later and I give my responsibilities the attention they deserve. I play hard and laugh a lot. Occasionally, I review the past or anticipate future possibilities but only if they complement the life I expect. When I can, I’d rather pursue the things I prefer than be distracted by memories or expectations. I also need to stay alert enough to notice opportunities and warnings because they only show up here and now which is where and when all of life is happening.
You deserve to feel as good or better than I do. A little back and forth here with me might do the trick. It certainly can’t hurt.
