I'm in grade 7 and i've got my first exams this week, i'm so stressed and i don't know what to do. I have trouble paying attention and keeping on task which is why i'm so nervous. I hope i get decent grades, my parents are already disappointed in me enough. I don't like my teachers and i don't pay attention enough, i have trouble understanding things and it's so hard for me seeing as my parents expect me to get good grades because i did last year but this year the work is so hard which makes me 10x more stressed, i guess i just have to work on paying attention and understanding things. I just hope for the best at least.

Like I Don't Exist
Another evening of a mother of three, and I'm scrambling around with the last two lights on in the house to get the last minute things done... Is the humifider...
I struggle with paying attention too. When someone tells me stuff I immediately forget it or trying to study or learn something it can be so hard. For me, I’ve tried to find different ways to learn. If I read it it’s better and I feel more confident at test time. I kinda go into exams like I either know it or I don’t and try not to freak out or get in my head so much. I’m sorry for rambling so much, I hope this helps.
Replyhey its alright, youre only in 7th grade and these are your first exams! School ain’t easy, you just have to accept that you wont always get a 100 but as long as you do your best you’ll always do well. just put in a lot of effort and stay confident! you got this, work hard and i wish you luck
ReplyRecord the lesson / Ask for the presentation to be sent to you, that way you can note down the important stuff incrementally, without having to worry about if you got it all down. And don't worry about grades. I can't stress this enough: your grades are not a true reflection of your character, or your intelligence. Whatever you get, it won't matter to you ever again as much as it did when you got them.
