Hi I'm 23 female.
I randomly started having these hot flushes, sometimes in my chest, but it usually spreads out to my entire body, it feels like my blood is boiling. I go numb too, i notice it most in my hands and thighs. I get dizzy, all the time lately, nauseous. I vomited for two nights. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. I've been to hospital twice. They've done blood works, I've seen a specialist. They don't know what's wrong with me. It won't show up on any bloods.
The vomiting is gone. But I have this persistent dizziness and overwhelming anxiety that I have something the doctors haven't picked up.
I feel fine for the rest of the time. And for a moment I think I'm just crazy and I'm really not that bad. But then it hits me again, the dizziness, the numbness and the hot flushes. I don't know how long I can actually handle this. And I don't know what it is. I feel like it's getting worse in ways which it is effecting my ability to go to work now. I had to leave early cause I was so dizzy one afternoon.
I just want it fixed and I want to go back to normal.
and it's during these little dizziness/heat moments that I feel so desperate for it all to stop and I feel like it is serious.
But I'm sick of going to the emergency at hospital just for them to tell me there's nothing. And of course the symptoms just disappear like they don't exist when I'm there, because these symptoms come in waves.
And yes I've been tested for a lot of things, so I can be relieved that it's not many serious things that it can be. But that doesn't mean I don't want answers. I want to be fixed, I want to feel better.
I'm just exhausted. The unknown is scary but also feeling like this is scary too.
So if anyone has had symptoms like this and are diagnosed with something, or anyone has any idea what it could be please comment.

Please try another hospital. They may have a second opinion. My mom had cancer and It got ignored for a while, and apparently, she had it for a whole year. It was stage 1 so she quickly recovered, but still I don't want you to have something, they do not know what it is, then have to deal with it longer/get even worse.
ReplyI had those hot flushes too, usually at night and I was shaking like crazy, feeling sick. I don´t know what it was, but I become really ill later on with a urinal infection and cysts on my ovary and on my thyroid.... So from my experience - make sure you do not have some infection in your body (teeth, or other...) Or it could be hormones (so I would suggest making notes about when these hot flushes occur - if you are a girl if it is related to some stage of your menstrual circle) and making notes on how high is your body temperature. It can be that the body is not ok - I mean - one doctor told me (when all my tests were normal) that the whole body is probably weakened (so nothing particular, but the whole body). And I would suggest repeating the tests. My tests got worse after several months of not feeling good. In my case, mineral values fell below the normal range. I am ok now so - good luck! we are here for you if you want to talk
ReplyEven though you are young, it could be an early menopause. It's rare but not impossible. Do some research.
