As I lay in utter darkness, the room only lightened by the heavenly flourescents of the parking lot, I see home. I see the trees adjacent from my room. A vast expanse of nothingness. Only flickers of light from the cars driving down the highway. Sick and monotonous. The same image. But this time is different. That heavenly light makes me see more. I see a way out. A way out of the dark room I lie in. A way out of life. The wind bends the trees to its will. I wish I could be too. I wish to bask in that light and find the home that was taken from me. Reclaim what was once lost.
