Perspective

I feel like my best friend doesn't value my friendship as much because she forgot to ask me, herself, to write a speech for her wedding. Yes, I am one of the maids of honor but I only found out I'm doing a speech when I looked at the schedule that her wedding planner made and the wedding is next week! It makes me feel forgotten and not as important as the other people she asked to write a speech.

I have been so busy with wedding planning, work travel, and getting the new house ready that I thought I had already asked S to do a speech at my wedding. Of course, she would do a speech at my wedding, she's one of the maids of honor and one of my most special friends. I feel so bad that I didn't ask her myself and she had to find out through the wedding timeline. I've been so overwhelmed lately.
